ELBERT COUNTY COMMUNITIES

Kiowa

The Town of Kiowa is the county seat of Elbert County and home of the Elbert County Fair. With just under 750 residents, Kiowa has a small town feel in a county that is experiencing growth due to its proximity to the urban centers of the Front Range.

Simla

Simla is a high plains town along US Highway 24 with a population of about 600. Another signature town in Elbert County with a rural, small town character within a 45 minute drive to Colorado Springs.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is the most populous town on the western edge of Elbert County with wide sections of beautiful ponderosa pine trees. With almost 1,700 people, it is a growing community within commuting distance of Denver and Colorado Springs.

 

 The Metro Down Payment Assistance Program can help prospective homebuyers with up to 5% assistance for down payments on homes in Elbert County.

There is no first-time homebuyer requirement.
